Quck question about wire colorss at the head unit....85 300SD

Hi,
I have to turn the parking/lights on for my stereo to work.
What is the significance of each color coming to the head unit....
Black? Red? White/purple? Brown is the ground right?
I can't find an answer anywhere to this.

you didn't mention if it was a factory unit or not, but according to the mercedes wiring it should be as below.
black/yellow -key on 12v
grey/violet- illumination
red -12v always
brown -ground
blue -antenna control
