Need help to enter the radio code
Battery died and put in a new one from Roadside Assistance. After the new battery was installed, the radio says WAIT. Since the tech can't wait all day, he told me to leave the radio on for a period of time and it should say CODE. He told me to enter the code and press the SC button at that time. Well, I left the radio in the "on" position for an hour and a half and the radio shuts itself off. I turned it back on and it still says WAIT. What am I suppose to do next? How much longer do I have to wait before I can enter the code? Can I still drive the car without the code? Please help. The car is a '95 SL. Thanks.
I posted in the SL forum but got no answer.

I answered in SL forum just now.........
You can drive without the code. In fact, do so. It'll take a few hours if it is anything like mine. The engine sounds good while you you are waiting..

I think you don't have to turn on the radio before entering the code. It asks for it right away. I'd disconnect the battery again for a few minutes and start over, if there is an on going problem.
