Hello,

I have two problems with the stock Becker stereo on my 1987 300TD. These problems have been there since I bought the car:

1) the left side speakers often crackle when the stereo is off.

2) the stereo can be turned on and off when there is no key in the ignition.

The two problems combine so that the left speakers will sometimes crackle all night when I park my car for the evening.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing these problems? Do you know how to fix them?
