Does anyone know if the stock radio on a 1995 C220 is an Alpine or a Becker (or none of the above)? I need to get my LCD replaced and Becker says they will do it for what I consider to be a reasonable price ($150) if it is a Becker.

I know that I can take it out and look at the serial number but I'd prefer not to at this time.

Also, I know that the code card says it on it but I don't have the code or the card.

P.S. Sorry if this is off-topic. I am not sure if all audio questions are supposed to be posted on the audio board. Since it doesn't get as much traffic, I am hoping that it is ok to post here.

The C-Class radios were supposed to be Alpine, however we replaced many of them under warranty with Alpines & Beckers. Easy removal to see BRAND. I know Alpine offers post-warranty repairs as well as becker.
