Quick question.....

at this link I see that the power antena is labled and I have found the wire in my dash. Do I need to cut and hard wire this to the wire off the back of the head unit? or is it no nessesary??

If it's a solo wire with a spade connector, then no, you don't need to cut it.

But assuming you want the antenna to go up/down then it is necessary to connect it to the HU. You could get the corresponding male or female spade bit (preferably with an insulated sleeve), attach that to the antenna wire on your new HU and plug it in.
