Need some advice here... I have a 1995 E320 in the following audio situation:

All original equipment, (tape deck with no CD)
No sound out of back speakers, (been like this for years).
Distorted sound out of front speakers, (been like this for years, but getting worse).
Antena broke and fell off car a couple of days ago.

I have been using my ipod with one of those cassette tape converter things but it sounds horrible. My questions are:

Do you think the audio quality problem is the head unit, or the amp in the back near the antena? Is it worth trying to located used parts to replace what I need, (antena, amp, etc...) or should I do some sort of upgrade? I don't mind spending a little bit of money, but I do not want to go overboard. Not sure how difficult the install would be.

If I wanted a nice look,I'd go to Best Buy and have the Geek Squad install new speakers amp and radio.
