Installing aftermarket radio in 1980 450sl
I am installing an aftermarket radio in a 1980 450sl and I have a few questions. So far I have ran new speaker wire directly to dash cavities and mounted new 4 inch speakers. I greatly appreciate any help that can be provided!
1. Is there a way to integrate the factory antenna up/down button on the dash with the aftermarket radio. If not, can the antenna at least be integrated to engage when the radio is turned on? If so, where is the antenna trigger wire located? 2. Where is the best/easiest source to tap constant power for the aftermarket radio? So far it looks like I only have switched and ground behind the radio. |

Nobody has any information on the antenna connection?

1. Just hook the antenna wire to the ant wire on the new modern radio. Its the blue wire. The original switch will still work.
2. Tap into the clock for a constant 12V
