front dash speaker interchange question
Hello, I was wondering whether the front dash speakers from a 1989 300SE will fit into the same location of a 1979 300D ??
My 300D has a blown front speaker. THX.

Unless they're free and on hand, why would you put 22 yo speakers back into a car?
There are a few recent threads or posts on good fits for W123 front speakers in the audio and multimedia forum. Depending on the grill designs in your specific model you may have greater/lesser difficulty finding replacements that fit. 3.5 or 4 inch round, depending on the specific manufacturer. |

Hi thanks. I just read the archives in the audio and multimedia forum.
Problem is that referenced speakers are not specific and many do mods, some had magnet and tweeter size probs etc. I just want a quick replacement and don't mind a used speaker. Not big on car audio... home audio is another issue $$$ ! Anybody have a working spare?
