95 E320 radio acting up

Hi all,

I did a search for my question and couldn't find what I was looking for so I thought I would post this question.

The becker radio in my 95 E320 recently started acting up by going to the scan function on its own. So now that I've decided to replace it I am looking for advice on what radio to purchase from all of you experts out there. I'm looking for just a standard replacement that can control my trunk mounted CD changer. It doesn't have to have a cassette player in it as long as it will have the ability to run my CD changer.

The whole system is factory and I'm not interested in installing subs or anything else.

So what do you all recommend and would I need to buy any adapters with it to prevent any cutting and splicing of the factory connectors?

Honestly, I'd stick with stock OEM head unit. New is something like $1000, I'd get a used one... they only run for about $250 with good 6 month (or so) warranties.

Becker will probably swap you a refurbed unit for your defective one for much less than a new one. Check with H. Becker on this forum...
