2002 E320 CD changer install

I have read several places the fiber optic cable is located behind the left trunk cover. How does one go about removing this cover without destroying it? Also are the cables labeled?

The liner comes out if you remove the two part black plastic clips that hold it in. There is one that faces down so you have to look to see it, then it will come out easily. Do you have a factory phone? If not the hook up should be easy, the cables are all right there behind the wheel well. Here is a pic with out phone

I am glad to share info, the two orange lines together are the fiber optics. Then there is the power harness next to it! Good luck!

It woks fine for now, eventually you will need to get the radio reprogrammed (version coding changed). It won't hurt anything, but will get annoying. Usually the complaint on an improperly coded radio is that it will display "no cd changer" "no CD" or "no magazine" (first one is most common). It will usually do this intermittently, sometimes the radio will refuse to work all together.
