2004 ML350 Do I have a Bose HU or not?

I am trying to determine if I have a Bose head unit or not. I

Looking at Crutchfield for aftermarket units and they need to know what's in there now. The radio in the ML looks like a plain Jane modular head unit no Bose labels on it. The front passenger speaker grill seats Bose but none of the others do.

Vin is 4JGAB57E34A464473.

any assistance is appreciated

After looking up your vin #, you do not have the Bose system. It is an Alpine unit.

Thank you. So I should not be limited in choices of aftermarket head units for my ML? As I would be with a Bose infrastructure?

Anyone have any recommendations? If like to get bluetooth, navigation and rear view camera capabilities. I listen to a lot of music via Spotify and a few locals channel's for talk about radio and local news. No real need for a CD player.

No problem, happy to help out. This is kind of an 'old school' way, but check out Crutchfield. You're able to enter your car info and it'll tell you what units will work for you. There should be quite a few options; personally I like Alpine or Pioneer for the head unit. I've always had great luck and zero issues with both brands.

Awesome info. I originally went to Crutchfield but I needed to verify the details of the existing unit. Thanks again
