Having ordered these door panels, I can tell you that the material matches perfectly. I have a gray set, and I have also seen a black set.

These panels can be made to fit mostly any speaker, but factory the fit MQ Quart speaker specifications.

If you call Jehnert they can custom make them for whatever speaker you will be using.

install capacitor

hello flavio

just picked up a pair of subwoofers and a 1farad capacitor. there were no instructions so i am wondering if you could give me a clue here.

the system is alpine head unit and an alpine amp. how do you and where do you install the capacitor . on the capacitor there is a + side and one side unmarked. no other leads are available.

what would the correct way to install this be?

tks for your help

The capacitor should and must be charged before you plug it in first. You should have got a charging circuit. It looks like a little circuit board with a black and red wire. You screw the circuit board to the capacitor with the + matching the + and the - matching the -. You then connect the + to your power wire, and the - to your ground wire. A light should then light until it is completely charged, and the light will go off. To charge my rockford capacitor it took about 45 seconds or so.

Once the light goes off, you then take the charging circuit off and connect your power wire to the + side and your ground wire to the - side. You can then take another wire and run it from the + on the cap to the + on your amp, same with the -.

that shows my 0-guage wire entering the cap, the grey being the ground, which was hooked up to the -, and then blue being the power, hooked up to the positive +. Another ground wire is then being run from the - to the amp.

MAKE SURE YOU CHARGE THE CAP. It is very important to charge it before using it. It loses power capacity at an extremely exponential rate if you do not charge it first.

As for distance, it should be within 18 inches of the amplifier. You should not leave as shown by my install between the cap and the amp. The wire should be as short as posible, i just did not finish the install yet. I'm running the wire back behind the carpet and out under the amp, so i did not cut it yet. Keeping everything as short as possible reduces voltage loss.

There should also be a remote connection for the capacitor. On my rockford it is a small screw on top of the capacitor. Just split your remote wire that you ran back for the amp and also run it to the capacitor. You can use any kind of wire for the remote wire. I just used some left over speaker wire.

A fuse should also be installed within 18" of the battery. I never thought a fuse and fuse box could be so expensive, but i was wrong

What kind of cap is it? I still have my rockford instructions, i can scan them if you still need them. They say nothing i havn't already said basically.

E-mail me if u have any more questions, goodluck.

Well the comments are, I love those door panels, I to love those door panels, I would like to have these panels for my 400E system, any thoughts here guys about a group buy? Flavio do you know if the door panels produced will fit a US model?
Beautiful workmanship and I’m sure you have a wonderful sound, which is no easy task to do in the 124 body, enjoy your sound and drive timreid.

Anybody able to get a response from http://asn.tt-net.com/ , I could not.

Jehnert door panels

Vifa M18W0-09-08's were the drivers I wanted to use in the the door panels- but Jehnert said they could not accommodate these drivers. They do have a depth limit.

I emailed a few people and the good news is that there is apparently no "offgassing" smell on the jehnerts.

I have had custom fiberglass work on other cars and the smell of the fiberglass resin on a hot day was always unpleasant.

The Jehnerts not only look factory- but smell factory and are very rigid- not like flimsy Q- forms.

I am ordering a set myself at doorboards.com
