How can you disable all mute functions on Becker 1492 head?

I have an Alpine 630 M-bus CD changer installed in my '95 E300D with the original Becker 1492 head.
During disc change, the Becker radio shows "loading" and mutes the audio signal. When the next CD plays, the Becker mute function releases and almost always clips about 1/2 second from the beginning of the first cut. Signal tests have determined that it is the head, not the CD player that is actually doing the muting. (To test, I broke the audio line from the CD changer and inserted a tone generator into the radio's CD input. The tone muted during CD loads.)

I want to disable all muting functions on the Becker radio. If that means clipping a trace on a circuit board, that's OK. BTY, I plan to never install a phone.
