I have a 1994 C180 Euro version which is similar to the C200,220,280 and I need someone to tell me the actual speaker sizes which will fit in easily into the OEM fitting holes in the 4 doors and the rear deck. I reckon that the speaker diameter, how big the rear magnet assembly is and how deep the speakers are will be crucial for exact fitting. If the fitting holes for the screws don't match, this can be altered easily by drilling new holes. Are they 2 or 4 or 8ohms? I wish to put in at least 2 or 3way speakers with tweeters and having better than those Benz paper cones. Apart from this minor modification, I won't be changing the radio/cassette/10disc changer as they are sufficient for the short trips I take daily. Its just the quality of the sound that bothers me. Not much bass and hardly any treble or high notes from the dash tweeters. Thanks all.
