low level input vs high level input, differance??

Hey, just a quick question. If i'm taking the wires that run to the actual speakers, and plugging them into the amp, and then running wires from the amp to my speakers, should i be using the high level input or the low level input?? I tried using the low level input and i think i may have fried my amp, it sounded EXTREMELY distorted, and actually started to smoke. Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Ryan, it is high level input when you are using the speaker wires coming from your radio to the amp. Low level connections are done with rca cables.
