help with removing a stereo from 116 (1980 300sd)

I want to take the aftermarket CD player out of my car. Can anyone help.

I can remove the faceplate, then there were a few screws. I undid those but could not seem to just pull the deck out. Do I need to pull harder or is there a trick to this?
