W107 speaker placement options?

I'm installing a speaker system in a 1986 560SL. What depth speakers have been mounted in the doors?

I know about the dash speakers (only deep enough for tweeters) and rear deck placement options (I have a jumpseat).

the doors are very limiting. The dash will accept a good 4 in and the rear sides you can put in 5.25 in. Here is the pics of cars I have done. I use a 1987 bmw rear deck speaker grill for the side speakers.
