W124 ('95 E320) head unit install - NO SOUND

Installed using crutchfeilds "1995 Mersedes-Benz E320" Becker 1492 plug info (CLICK FOR FACTORY PLUG) The speaker wire-colors do not match, but the 12v, switched 12v, power ant, ect... seem to match. Regardless, I used the pin #'s to hardwire in the new harness.

Problem:
installed brand new Sony Xplod CDX-GT640UI head unit, Tuner stations work and produce sound, but none of the AUX inputs or CD player produce sound. The EQ display on the head unit seems to recognize the input (be that ipod/usb, ipod/RCA input on back or CD) but produces no sound.

Worth noting:
These are the same issues that the last aftermarket head unit were displaying, so I presume that it is in the wiring.

The ATT, and ILLUMINATION, AMP REMOTE leads from the head unit pigtail are not connected.

constant 12V and switched 12V leads were checked with a DMM and connected as they should be.

The antenna comes up when the key is turned on, regardless of the stereos power state. The antenna wire from the head unit harness is connected to the thick, all black wire.
