BE 1432 and Alpine S630

Just purchased the Alpine S630 CD changer off of E-Bay and wanting to install it in a '91 300E connecting it to the BE 1432 Head. Any and all information would be appreciated. Looking at placing it in the trunk mounted by the First Aid Kit. Especially need assistance with the wiring hook-up and any adapters needed to complete this install. Thanks in advance.

MY .02 Worth

Having installed dozens of stereo's in cars I thought swapping out the old Becker for an Alpine in MB was a easy morning project. After a couple of weeks of no music I sought out and hired a radio tech from a local hi tech electronics store to come to my house for a litte free lance $$'s. A hour later and $75 I was cruising with the tunes on the Alpine. Bottom line - I found the wiring to be just a little to complex for my skill level. Especially to make all the features work.

This is from my experience installing Alpine 630 into 92 600SEL.
You need:
Q-6-82-0135 -- software interface $135;
Q-6-82-0174 -- adapter harness $50;
Q-6-82-0175 -- cable set $98; (Only if you don't have it)
Peripheral adapter MBZALP9 $37

These are the prices I paid when I did mine. If you do need a cable Q-6-82-0175, I have it for sale.
Do a search and you'll find all information you need including wiring picture.

Did it work

I'm looking into installing a CD changer in my 92 300D it has a 1432 hd unit. Did you get the going? I thought I would have to have a Becker BE980 CD Changer. Thank You

I sent Rogerw300E an e-mail using the link in his post. We'll see if he comes back and updates us. Here's what I went through with my 1994 E420 with Becker 1492 and new CD Changer. I found these by using the Search tool.

Mounting CD changer in W124

changer adaptor

in dash cd player for 94 E320
