Becker Cassette in glovebox original??
Ok, Im new around here.
Just as new at working on vintage Becker Stereos. This vehicle has a Becker cassete in glovebox wired to a Europa II... was that an original option for a 1973 450 SE. The wiring going into this old Europa II appears to have no access. I see no screws or other intuitively obvious fasteners that would allow me into the head unit to disconnect the wiring. Unfortunately this stereo puffed a little cloud of white smoke a while back and I would like to replace it if I could just disconnect it... Thanks! |

I believe you might be looking for the amplifier to disconnect that should be underneath the dash below the radio there will be a din connector on the large grey cable. The becker cassette was usually added at the dealer.
