I broke the mast of my power antenna off my 92 300D when I was not paying attention to the progress of my automatic garage door opener. I bought a new OEM mast and installed it according to the directions on the shop CD. Installed fine. Goes up and down like it should. Problem is FM reception is not as good as was before. Lots of fffftt ffftt's on my favorite stations. Any ideas?

You will have to go into the trunk. Remove the lining and check the connections. If the garage door broke the mast, it may have loosen/broken something else...
