HELP WITH Clarion VRX935VD

I just installed a new Clarion VRX935VD in my 97 E320 and i m having a problem with the sound. the sound comes on for about 5 mins and then cuts off even though the CD is still playing. I am wondering if the factory Amp might be the problem and if i should change it to an after market Amp?
