What do you use to wash your car?
I was wondering what products are used to wash your car? And, how does this effect the wax on the car?

Meguiars Gold Class car wash. I was my car when it is dirty so once a week or every couple of days depending on the weather.
I was told that the life of your wax depends on how often you wash it. I remember reading that a limo company figured out after x number of washes the cars needed to be re waxed. But those guys would wash them 2-3 times a day to keep the cars spotless. Time wasn't a factor.

For car wash soap I pretty much pick up any brand name on sale. I am currently using Armor all car wash soap. Does a good job.
I use a spray on wax after to top off the wax thats still there. |

GC, Good stuff!
Another way to care for your wax is to use a detail spray after every wash. The slickness returns after using QD which helps repel rain, bus, dust ans other contaminates that where wax away. Meguiar’s Quick Detail Pad Quick detail sprays

Meg's Gold Class or Eagle One Wet car wash. I'll also use Dawn if I need to strip off all the wax, and then re-wash with a car wash to get the dawn out.

P21S Total Auto Wash I use it dilluted as a bug reomver or even a wheel wash. I use it straight on the paint to remove waxes.

Recently tried out something new called Kit Carnauba Wash & Wax. I didn't really buy it because it makes your car look waxed, I wax my car myself. But anyways, I must say it does give your car a nice shine...and it smells great.

I like the Mr Clean Auto Dry car wash, use it in a bucket as opposed to the Mr Clean dispenser, reminds me alot of a heavy duty version of P21.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash and a Griot's Garage Boar's Hair Brush to wash our cars. A backpack blower does an excellent job blow-drying the car, followed by a light wipe with a cotton towel ... minimizes contact and prolongs the life of wax.

Car Wash
I have tried "Blue Coral car wash" and had better luck with bar soap and a wet cloth!
I have been using Cherry Power from www.clean-rite.com but you should be able to purchase it from your local auto parts store (I bought another gallon at Advance Auto parts today (hey, at least they are good for soaps and oil & filters on a weekend). Cherry Power is awesome, it gives my Mercedes a super clean look with a shine. People often ask me how I keep my car so clean and shinny....I tell them that I wash it...and I use Cherry Power! No wax...and I get a great shine every time!

I use the Armor All car wash, followed by a claying and two coats of wax, it beads up water and looks good.
