Question Re: 1995 E320 Convertible questions

I'm new to this board and would appreciate any help with my two questions.

Currently considering purchasing a 1995 E320 Black Convertible.

1) Do not like the gray skirt on the car. Would like to know if it can be redone to match the black car color?

2) Would like to find out where I could get a steering wheel with leather -wulnut detail?

Thanks!

BanIrl, sure the lower plastic panels can be repainted black. Expect them to be more susceptible to stone chips than the originals though. Also, make sure that the painter uses the proper clear coat. I had the rear bumper on our 1992 300CE repainted and the clear coat is duller than the other panels. Use a top notch paint shop for the repaint work ... you get what you pay for.

You can get the bottom painted to match the body! If you want a nice wheel here is where I got mine! Very high quality!!

A lot of guys have painted the lower panels black. Any competent paint shop will be able to paint them, and they shouldn't chip.

The wood / leather steering wheels can be purchased at:

www.eris-car.de
www.matrixcar.de

I have purchased from all three websites, and everything went fine.
