Replacing 123 dash - what else to do while it's out?

I'm replacing the dash on my '83 300CD. What else should I do while it's out?

So far I've got planned:

New radio (already bought, waiting on Crutchfield harness)
New speakers + wires (leaving factory wires; 3.5" mounted from underneath)
New center vacuum pod (just replaced defrost pod)
Clean/flush A/C evaporator
Probably need new A/C temp sensor foam tube
Possibly replace ignition switch (current drilled out switch is held in place by PO installed hose clamp)
Paint dash needles
Maybe replace instrument bulbs with white LEDs -- any experience?

I've recently R&R'd the hood cable and lubed the speedo cable & speedo with Boeing T-9 spray lube and have almost no jumping.

Are there any other cables, hoses, grommets etc that are easier to replace with the dash out?

Should I lube or replace the blower motor bushings or contacts?

The car's been in Texas since '93 and is about as rust free as you can get. I haven't noticed any leaks up front. Anything else to look for while it's opened up?

LED's are a great way to go. Factory specs say 100,000 hours. Good to check and make sure they arent too bright prior to installing them. For us, more than even an MB's life.

Ya might consider adding some sound proofing.

Dash Replacement

Happy New Year and Good Luck.
I did my 240D evaporator over the Holidays.
You may know it is a long job.
A blog on here showed over 12? pictures of how to do.
Suggest and passing to you, buy ziploc bags and label everything
I have a problem now with my Radio/antenna interface cause I didn't label enough.
You may also think about the Evaporator if you are going that far.
Look under 123 evaporator replacement and this person did a outstanding job on description

Fixing a blower motor isn't any easier with the dash out.
