Refinishing a warning triangle
Has anyone attempted to refinish a trunk triangle? I've found a few in yards and such that I didn't bother with because the rivets had started to rust and the white metal frame was starting too as well.
How can we refresh these? |

its just metal. But if you clean the triangle be careful with the exclamation point in the middle. I need a triangle for my cabrio

They are just metal, but isn't it interesting how they rust? Do you know what I mean?
Maybe it's due to wet trunks contributing to this but I find it disappointing. It's funny because I refused to buy a used one from Ebay because prices were as high as $100 and in less than ideal condition. So I looked up the p/n and ordered brand new from an online OEM dealer for $75 only to receive an email a day later saying these are no longer available...So much for thinking I was the smartest guy around ![]() Anyway, I suppose you are right and with some effort and these being just metal, I guess some refurb shouldn't be too difficult. And thanks for the tip about the exclaimation point!! |
