SEM leather paint questions
I am looking to experiment with the SEM leather paint. My 190D is a beater and the seats are all pink, I was going to experiment on that, and them maybe try to touch up my SDLs seat, and other interior projects.
I've been googling a lot, and have found a lot of people who sell it, but they only seem to sell it in the Vynil variety like this I see SEM also makes "Classic Coat of Leather" but I can't find someone who sells this variety in Palomino. SEM Classic Coat for Leather - SEM Vinyl Paint Does anyone know where I can find Leather coat in Palomino, or will the normal stuff work on leather?

Check out Leatherique. I've used that and can highly recommend it. The company is very helpful in addition to making a good product.

I've used it. I would suggest that you use the water based stuff which a paint jobber will be able to mix up for it and use a paint gun to spray it. I used the spray can and shot mine pretty thick and it has cracked in certain areas.
I think that the water based stuff would work much better. Here is a link: weekend Wrenching

"All in the Prep"
I've also used the SEM colorcoat (Vinyl [Intended]coating product) on Leather with no problem. Do whatever else in the way of cleaning/prep (Flagellation,Mantras,Etc.) and just before you spray the Palomino (MB #174 SEM #15323) treat the Plastic/Leather with the Rattle can SEM product "Plastic/Leather Prep" part # 38353.Then spray the color coat. ANY good automotive Paint supply shop will stock SEM products. Looking at the color chips I remember why I went with the "Color Coat" (For Plastico) on the Leather.ONLY the color coat product had the matching color for Mercedes #174 "Palomino". http://semproducts.com/images/Users/Chip%20Cards/color%20coat%20chip%20card-2009.pdf

I bought front seats and rear seats in Palomino MB tex in nearly perfect shape. So I won't be respraying the seats, but I have a steering wheel I wanted to do, so I'm going to order up a couple cans and see what I can come up with.
