Late model 124 trunk chrome piece..

I'm pretty sure the year this piece was added was '94, when the 300E became the E320.

Anyhow this piece is just above the license plate and looks very nice. I am wondering if this part would fit on to an earlier 124, i.e. my '91 300E.

I don't think it will fit. The 91 has a black strip all the way across, while the chrome strip is only center part.

The '94 and '95 124 sedans use a different trunk lid than the early cars. This chrome strip will not fit properly.
