Smeared touch up paint
In a grievous error on my part, i was using touch up paint on my black 1991 300CE and I smeared a little. I was using it in the garage which is kind of dark, and I didn't see it until the next day. The smear is not large, but it's on the hood, and, of course, it jumps out at me everytime I walk up to the car.
Is there a way to minimize the smear or remove the touch up paint? Phil |

...I'd remove the touch up paint and start over again
you can use a paint thinner on a q-tip or mineral spirts I don't know of any way to fix a 'smear' in touch up paint other than removing and starting over again -fad |

I agree with -fad...I use touchup paint on my 560 and got slightly careless once. I used cotton balls and q-tips to remove the paint and started over from scratch. I used a little paint thinner and lightly/gradually appied it. Don't go overboard.
