Ben
Thanks for touching on Mequiar's products. I was wondering if someone would help me out. I had used Mequir's products only on my previous car's exterior and it kepted a good show-ready shine. But never used their leather cleaning/conditioning products. If "lousy" is the verdict, then "lousy" they are.
Thanks again.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they are lousy but I certainly wouldn't say they are great.

Meguiars is a good option if you find that your leather is in dire need of conditioning and you don't have access to any of the mailorder products which are really good. Meguiars will get you by but it definitely won't make you say wow.

I use it on my car for basic maintenance, but I'm searching for a good alternative that softens the leather better.

I have the Liquid Leather stuff on order. Should arrive shortly
from England. Highly recommended by the folks in the U.K. Will post my opinion on their product once I cleaned my interior.

OK, so it ok or so-so stuff? The problem with me is I have Meguiar's leather stuff right now (it was in a gift package) and my leather in my 300e is in less than fair to fair condition. It's very dry, hard, and scuffed. Do I use the Meguiar's stuff and hope it helps bring my leather seat back to life? Or do I pass on that stuff and till I can afford special ordered stuff?

Bite the bullet, spend the $65 and use the Leatherique and get it over with.

Yeah, buy the Leatherique. It's the only stuff that would probably bring back to life your old leather.

Meguiar's is an excellent product that is great for leather that is in average to good condition.

Leather

I have used liquid glycerine for years and nothing cleans or conditions leather like it.
You can find it at saddle shops etc.

www.leatherique.com worked very well with my car

A product that actually works. My armrest was all cracked and dry, used leatherique a few times and the leather became soft again.

Leather restorers

Ok, it looks like a lot of you have tried all different types of leather restorer products.

What works best, no matter the price?

I have dirt, some grime and some worn off color.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks from So Cal!!
