Which buffer pads should I use with my orbital buffer?

Hi,
I just bought a Turtle Wax orbital buffer from my local Costco for $20 and I'm not quite sure which pads to use for the different steps. It came with a terry cloth pad, a foam pad, and this weird stiff blue material. For now I'd just like to do a three step process with Meguiars paint cleaner, polish and wax. Later on though, as I get more used to using the buffer (which is sooo much easier than doing all this by hand), I'd like to experiment with some light abrasives. Which of the buffer pads that came with the machine should I use for each of the different steps? Is there anything else I should buy for what I want to do? Thanks a lot for the help, buying this buffer was a big step.

Alex
