Vinylex diluted

The folks at Summit Industries are probably going to hate this post...

I found that, for most uses, Vinylex (brand of vinyl protector) can be diluted 1 to 3. First, I washed the interior vinyl surfaces with (quite) warm soapy water, rinsed---and repeated until rinse water was clear. Then I took a spare spray bottle and mixed one part Vinylex with three parts water. I sprayed this mixture onto a small piece of cloth and applied it to all surfaces.

Afterwards, I used a slightly stronger mix and applied it just to the top of the dash, the top of the rear seats, and the top two inches of the doors---all areas where the sun might beat down directly.

----

Have I doomed my 27-year-old beauty to a shorter lifespan for her interior? I doubt it. It looks great. It feels great. I certainly don't think I would even like to try using the stuff full strength on the MB-Tex seats.

I'll give you guys a follow up report in another twenty years from now...
