Unhappy What should I do about my heater

The heater on my 300CD broke along time ago when the Climate control amp crapped out on me, and I ended up having to take it out. I havn't replaced it yet, and shudder when I think about the $125 for a new one and then the AC Servo crap out on me, and then having to spend $1400 for a new one . Anyways, today I am going to try and find a used climate amp, however I found a few kits on the internet that do away with the AC servo and such. I found one at **************.com for $89, which is just a bypass valve, and a manaul control cable to control the heat. Then there is this digital replacement at Performance Products for $699. What do ya'll think I should do???

Kyle Blackmore just bought a brand new ACC servo from some fella thru the forum, then decided his 300D wasn't worth the work(major rust issues). Not sure if it'd be the same unit as yours, but might contct him and see if he wants to part with it. He got it REAL cheap. I guess the other fella kind of had the same story. Bought it for a car, then decided not to mess with it, or something like that.

I think I just found a used Climate Control Amp for $20 bucks at a local shop. The guy told me to bring my old one in to compare, and if I buy it and it doesn't work I can bring it back as long as I don't fry it...

I got the control amp, and have it installed, but now I don't think things are working right, or maybe I just need to give it some time... However when I have the controls set to defrost, it is not blowing air out of the center vents like it used to, so maybe the AC Servo or the aux water pump might not be working right, from not being in use for 8 months

Looks like the Aux water pump is working(leaking), so it looks like the problems are coming from the AC Servo now. When I select defrost, it's not blowing out hot air, just warmer air so this is telling me that I am having a problem somewhere. I also checked the temp sensor in the dash and cleaned it off, and the coating that is on it is cracking off, so does this mean that the part is bad and might be causing part of my problems???
