There were a few posts a couple months ago by someone who had just taken delivery of a 320cdi. You could probably dig up these posts by a little searching. I don't believe he has posted anything since, so I suppose the car is doing OK. The only negatives on the cdi I have heard so far is that a few fuel filters have come apart and garfed up the fuel system.

Red face cdi questions

Some of the specs are:
27/37 mpg. 0-60 in 6.6s(wishful thinking) Base invoice supposed to be around 46 thou. As I said, I am new to diesel.I was wondering in anyone has done a powerchip upgrade on one of this babies? 201hp 369lb torque. Powerchip claims that their upgrade will bring the car to 227 hp and 417 lb torque. I was wondering about transmision problems. Any diesel tecs have any thoughts about e211 5speed tranies handeling capabilities?
many thanks on your input

E320 CDI
3.2L 24-valve Inline 6 engine
201 hp @ 4,200 rpm
369 lb-ft @ 1,800 - 2,600 rpm
0-60 mph in 6.6 seconds this is fact, incredible but true.

MSRP: $49,795.00
or with all possible extras
$76,945.50

Powerchip is correct, what they do NOT mention is that the integrated communication system will inform MB that a chip has been installed.
You will be informed that your warranty is void.
Enjoy your chip......

Welcome to the Forum. Some VERY knowlegeable guys ( and gals) around here.
To avoid warranty problems, AND make that new CDI feel even faster.... spend some time in a 240D, or 220D and practice merging onto interstate highways with an uphill acceleration lane that is too short. After a few of these exercises, return to your new CDI and be amazed at the performance.
Again, welcome to the site, and since most people post only about problems, I hope we don't hear too much from you.

46 big 'uns??OMG!

Greetings and welcome to the forum...be advised, most of the folks in this section of the forum are driving 20+ year old cars in the $2k ~ $5k price range. A new CDI is, well, pretty unusual here.

You probably have better financing on your car than I did on my first house which cost $31,950 and had a 13.7% mortgage

GREAT answer. A moped would feel powerful after your test.

Cheers,

Thanks guys,
I noticed that most of you drive older models, however I think that there is much "diesel wisdom" to be had from all of you especialy for a newbe like myself. I do appreciate your input and I promise to allways be nice and humble when I encounter on older oil burner out there.
