I'll e-mail anyone a climate control diagnostic..again

Larry Bible gave me a three page Mercedes Climate Control diagnostic bulletin a couple of years ago. It covers model years 1977 to 1985.

Since I have received more help than I have given from this site, this is my way of paying back

Please send me a private message with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. The quality is not the best, but it is a pretty good aid.

JCD

JDC.

Maybe you can post it as a sticky.
This way you only have to send it once and
everyone on this forum can benefit from this
information.

Louis.

Exclamation Use a file splitter utility.

cut it in 7 or 8 chunks, with directions on how to reassemble.
Post it, and close the thread.

File splitters are free download utility.

Experts help needed

I'm not the greatest "file splitter" in the world.

I'll e-mail the document to anyone who want's to reconfigure it so it can be a sticky.

Volunteer's.

PS, I'll e-mail all those who requested it on Monday. I don't have the file on my home computer.

Do you remember the file name?

You sent it to me, but now it is hiding.
If it can be located, will split and post tonight.

Post testing the splitter

Need input.
will this work here?
Creat a folder.
Save the files to it.
Change the file extension of 2003_Merge.txt = 2003_Merge.bat
Change the file extension of CHAI_Merge.txt = CHAI_Merge.txt
Cut off the .txt extension from the other files.
Activate the .bat file to assemble the file.
Do the test files work ok?

CHAINSAW.ZIP is the file splitter used to test this, it does not install.

2003HOOTERSCalendar.zip this is owls, so don't get the wrong idea.

Thank you for your help.

:EDIT:
THE FILES DID NOT WORK, DELETED THEM.

I have tried to open & view whunter's attachments, and have not been able to get anything readable. They look like something written in Klingon.
What did I do wrong?

I wouldn't mind having a look at those Climate Control troubleshooting guides.

Files damaged..

Sorry Everyone
I tried it again.
The files are corrupted.
I will look for a remote storage website, which can be linked to.
My thanks for those who tried to help.

Rules of the game.........

Please send me your e-mail address in the private message. I have received a number of requests without the e-mail address. It takes too long to remind people, so if you don't get a reply, you can assume you didn't include your e-mail address in the private message.

Also, please don't request a read receipt.

Both of these requests may seem trivial, but when you are replying to about 15 - 20 private messages a day, each one you have to apply an extra keystroke to, does take some time.

Also, I'll be traveling this week, so it will take a week or so to get the bulletins out.

Take care,

JCD

Yes lets not file split..
only 3 page document? No need to split that even if it is pictures.
Just a formatting issue..
nothing I dislike more than trying to piece a file back together with some trival one time never updated buggy software :-p
Perhaps I am just too nerdy and too grumpy
