Question for '95 E300D owners.
I think my '95 E300D is idling at a speed which is somewhat higher then spec, but am not sure. I know the specs for this car calls for 630 RPM +/- 50 when worm. I am estimating that my car is now idling at around 750 RPM.
I think this is a recent phenomena, as I seem to remember that it used to idle at a lower RPM than that probably around 650RPM. If any of you have a chance can you please look at your RPM gauge when the car is idling at normal temperature and estimate what your idling speed is. In my case it makes no difference whether the AC is ON or OFF. Also, does your car start off at higher RPM when cold and then goes down when hot? I know its only an estimate as the RPM gauge does not have any graduations between the 500 and 1,000 RPM marks. Mine seems to be sitting smack in the middle between the 500 and 1,000 RPM mark. Thanks Phil
