Man, I wish he still had the car. It was one of those robin egg blue/white combinations. He sold the car in '67 to a high school kid who proceded to tear the tranny up. Several years ago I was told someone local still has the car. My uncle told me who and what color it is these days and, sure enough, I've seen it around.

When I worked on cars I was impressed with how stuff could get under your skin, like the noise from a busy road. You're working along and think you're fine with it and then you realize you're really not and your brain is about to melt.

Probably everyone who does it long enough has an experience like this: breaking off an easy-out in a stud of an (obsolete) engine block. After you figure out what you're going do to fix that, you'll remember that old saying- "Don't force it, get a bigger hammer."
