300SD 116 body
There is a yellow vacuum line with a gray strip on it that goes through the fire wall right next to the totally yellow line that is for the door locks. Does anybody know that that line goes to? There is also a green lline with a black strip on it that goes through the firewall at the same place (next to the brake booster) what does that line go to?
My car turns off some times and not others. I ran some brake cleaner through the brown lines and took them off at the switch and checked the lines for leaks. I found one crack and spliced it but it still only has vacuum every now and then. Can the switch leak? I did find that the drivers door vacuum switch for the door locks is bad and will order one tomorrow. It dumps all of the vacuum from the system when I put the switch in the lock position. |

Please, don't use solvents.
Solvents destroy vacuum diaphrams and switches.
Use a mityvac for testing.....
