I was wondering if there is a heavy duty alternator for my 300SD. If anyone can point me to where I can buy one please do so, thanks.

I believe the Bosch AL-69X is the proper hi amperage alternator for the SD.
I do not have a Bosch catalog or tech info handy but I believe I can get one if no one in the 'Forum can locate info for you.
As for buying one, try the PartsForum. Normally one needs a core unit BTW

A Bosch AL129X would probably fit into your 126. See this old thread of mine for further info. The one I installed came in handy during my last road trip - higher wattage headlights among a few other gadgets I've added plus two laptops being powered through an inverter...
