I happen to have a couple of both so I have set my vacuum gauges up with some line, a tee and a cap. The Miti-Vac should be the more useful of the two since you can use it to apply vacuum as well as measure it. The same cannot be said for the vacuum gauge. Go with the Mit-Vac unless you want to splurge.

What I try to do is search the topic and print the pages that help me through the tests. Additionally, printing off the CD manual works great. Chasing vacuum problems is actually fun until (from what I have read) they involve the dash area. I am still chasing several leaks and/or suspected vacuum related gremlins.

vacuum

356 nen. check valve at vac pump is broken.
