Octavagon FS - W123 LWB Oddity on Craigslist
FWIW, I used the search button and came up with no Octavagon, is that the right nomenclature?
Basically is a LWB modified 123 chassis, 1981, with a 240D and a stick shift tranny, sort of a LIMO looking car (boy I'd hate to parallel park this one!) There is a strange second instrument cluster housing in the center of the dash. See auto FS post I made today: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?p=731644#post731644

have talked to owner = SF BAY AREA
owner says that he will entertain offers ......... has been repainted from red to black ....... has some after market sunroofs mounted over back seat = manual??? ......... runs good = although slow and does either use or burn some oil ??? ....... does not want to try national marketing? ........ has half-oval type platform desk(in place of jumpseats) he used for office with an inverter still installed ........ says he has talked to a "collector" who facilitated a deal for one of these in the $15k neighborhood ........ my thoughts = would look cool with a flag at each front corner ......... nice enough guy ........ wants it to go away for $$$

It's a cool car, and would be especially so with a 617 turbo in place of the 616 but not worth it to me... |

That thing's been on craigslist for at leas 6 months. From what I heard, it needs a new 616.
