I was at a car show a couple weeks ago where there were 7 present. 6 of them went in for a dip in the lake. Now that is one seriously cool machine.

That car is pretty!! looks good, but I dont have the $$.. I already have my project.

Amphicars are very cool, but they do go very fast at all in the water... not too practical.

20 years ago, there was a guy in my town who had 4 amphicars parked in his driveway. He's since moved, but I think of those cars each time I pass his old house (each day on my way to and from work).

Have you seen the latest iteration of the amphicar, which Richard Branson drove across the English Channel? It was a Gibbs Aquada, and here's the link: http://www.aquada.co.uk

I have a vague recollection that Mr. Smart actually started with a Sunbeam Alpine but later upgraded to a Tiger. I seem to recall that as a kid I was disappointed he only had an Alpine.
