Believe it or not, stock diesels can do donuts and brake torques...

So the other day, I was out of a ride in my 98 E300 with hattersaguy, when we came across an empty parking lot. Lets just say the curiosity was too great. So, with hattie taunting me, I proceed to turn "off" the asr. I slow down and start to drive in a tight circle, and then floor it. At first I didn't think it would break on dry pavement, but as we sped up, the tail started to come lose and as the nose comes around, we are enveloped in a cloud of white smoke. The smile widens and I start to wonder about doing a brake torque. So after i come to a stop, I hold the brake and ease the throttle to the floor...Nothing happens. So I give it one more shot, this time i let off the brake to let the rmps hit the sweat spot and reaply them and hear the familiar sound of tires screaming in protest. With about 5k miles torn from the life of my tires, I rejoice and continue on with my ride...

With some bystanders in complete aw, that a mercedes diesel did donuts and a brake torque of course...
