What the sam-hill is Farscape?

...I thought Randy was making a reference to the seagulls in "Finding Nemo"

Its an Austrailian produced sci-fi series on the Sci-fi channel, high budget , very high quality. On its fifth season.

Yes, I was refering to Nemo. I'd like to see Farscape but, I'm unwilling to pay a cable company for anything more than broadband access.

No, I don't believe $500 for a transmission that has not even been tested. My hopes go up in smoke. Plus shipping, no. It would be worth it if it was working correctly in a turbo coupe.

Well it wasn't me. Went more than I was willing to go at the end.

How much is one of these 5spd tran'missions worth? I really want this for my diesel, and since I will be selling the SE at some point here, the funds will be available.

VW meets MB TD

The fellow who won the five speed lurks on one list or another, he didn't say which one, when I asked him what his plans were for the trans. He will be coupling the trans to a VW TDI engine and mounting them together in a 123 TD. Sounds amazing to me, but he gives the impression that he's done his homework. "Knows his onions", as our colleague Stevo said to me.

For me, $511 is pretty reasonable for a five-speed, given that I paid five hundred Euros for one recently and then had to have it shipped from the UK to the state of WA. Madness? You bet, a mid-to-late-mid-life crisis quite out of control. Total cost ... I've put it out of my mind. Do we like the Euro 300D with the five speed manual trans? Yes, thank heavens, we like it a lot.

Were tachometers only installed in the turbo cars? What type of MPG and cruising speeds does the 5spd/overdrive provide in your car, P'bert?

Is it possible to add an overdrive to a 4spd manual of the same period?

Mike
