Another Ebay dreamer................

Look at this text.....I emailed him telling hime of at least 2 glaring overstatements that were fraudulant.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4502559304&fromMakeTrack=true

I think these guys must all talk to each other.

THESE CARS ROUTENLY LAST IN EXCESS OF 500K MILES AND WITH THE WORLD RECORLD HOLDER IN GERMANY WITH 1.3 MILLION MILES ON IT WITH THE ORIGINAL UNREBUILT MOTOR SO WITH THIS MILEAGE THIS VEHICLE WILL BE AROUND FOR YEARS TO COME.

That statement is very untrue, I wonder what the guy is smoking

AC BLOWS ICE COLD AND WAS CONVERTED TO R134

I don't see how the AC can blow ice cold with R134, unless the guy lives in the Artic

...ALL POWER WINDOWS AND DOORS LOCKS WORKE FINE. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES WONDERFULLY. THE BREAKS WORK FINE AND THE CAR HAS NO PULLS. THE MOTOR IS TERRIFIC WITH PLANTY OF POWER. I DID A COMPRATION TEST, AND ALL CYLINDRES ARE IN SPECT 400PSI +/- 10%. TRANSMITION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY AND HAS CLEAN FLUID. THERE ARE NO FLUID LEAKS NOTICED IN MY DRIVEWAY.

I count at least 6 spelling errors in this paragraph, so selling didn't use spell check, so this makes me wonder about the car

maybe some members here need to turn him in to Ebay for making fraudulant claims and provide links to prove it.

That would make this kind of thing stop.

I bet that guy wears leasure suits, smokes cheap cigars and fits every stereotype of a weasle.

Maybe I'm nuts, but the car actually looks pretty decent, never mind its idiotic, spelling-impaired seller. Does anyone see anything obviously wrong with the car itself? The battery seems freakishly huge -- or maybe mine is freakishly small?

"The story of this 1985 MERCEDES BENZ 300DT (WDBAB33C2FA240366) according to our interpretation of the information reported to CARFAX: This sedan has had at least one owner." No way! :p You'd think this guy would post the carfax report elsewhere and provide a link to it in his auction. In its presentation in the auction, the carfax report is almost unreadable.

So, here's a question: do these guys make a living off selling these cars on eBay? Where do they get their cars, and why on earth can none of them spell?

Thats a Northeast car.....................I bet its full of bondo and only looks good in pictures because its been detailed. Bet you would have a hard time getting a magnet to stick to most of the lower body panels. I see a scam artist with the crap he put on that ad. If he would lie about such stupid things makes you wonder how much else he is lieing about too.

Not to mention the only payment he takes are the most risky as you have no recourse to recover funds if you find out this car has 5 gallons of bondo hiding under an Earl Shibes paint job.

I sent him an email pointing out that the recond breaking car is in fact not a W123 , nearly 10 years older, and certainly not on its first motor. Oh yea I also included a link to this article Lets see if he responds.

How much you wanna bet he ignores us.........That would prove he knows he was lieing through his teeth.

I still think a few people sending those links and filing a fraud with ebay will get action.....I mean how blatant can you get?

I agree...

This guy is a rip off artist. They buy these cars at auction, for like 1500. Clean them up and dump them on eBay for around 2-3k.

Typically they way overstate the car to sell it. Once the car is purchase by the buy they usually have to ship it and then when they get the car, it's piece of crap...what can the buyer do?

Send it back? Fine but they have to pay the shipping.

Sue them? Go for it, but your going to have to fork over fees for the lawyer etc, probably in excess of the car and no guarantees.

Complain to eBay? Trust me, they don't care.

I think there is a huge business doing this with cars that are less than 5k on eBay, because that is about the cost where the buyer really can't fight it for more than the cost of the vehicle, and rarely can lawyer cost be reclaimed in this kind of suit.

I know I am suing a dealer in Florida for this type of thing.

Unfortunately for him, I have money. And he is going down, regardless of cost.

Go for it....take the scum down..... I have been burned twice...on parts not a car. The last one ebay said tuff .......paypal said tuff, My credit card company however agreed with me on a fraud charge and the seller lost, I got my money back. I refuse to buy things that I can't use a credit card thru paypal to pay. Thats the ONLY safeguard you have, Its against the Policy of Paypal who is owned by Ebay to Refund you because its money out of their pockets.

Anyone in my mind who demands cash or something like this guy does is hiding something.

I agree...

And I did the same.

I bought the car on the credit card, for that exact same reason.

Here is the problem. The car has to be in original condition, ie the seller has to accept the car when it's returned for the credit card to refund your money.

What's original mean??? I drove the car to my mechanic to have it checked out...and put a couple of mile on it...That could mean that it is not in original condition, and thus I accepted the car.

So even if I returned it, meaning I had to pay to ship it back (600) he could say, it is not in the same condition.

And then I would have a car sitting in Florida, that I got to get back....

Now that would suck.

They certainly do make a living off e-bay, because there is always someone with less intelligence ready to hand over money to them.

This seller is no different than 98% of the dealers on e-bay. Buy the car for a wholesale price at an auction, sprinkle some magic water on it, and sell it at slightly below retail to a buyer who believes what the seller writes in the listing.

Remember, it does not take a genius to push metal for a living.

I like it when they take the pic with the wash water still laying on the ground around the car.

The spelling is totally horrible and I just had to laugh but there are some on this forum that can't spell and are great guys.

Cheers,

Bill

And one of them has a name that begins with H and ends with guy.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
