I used to work at PDX, I expect being an airline mechanic put a bit more pressure on me to make it to work, and living in Beaverton sure didn't help things any. My two cents: If you don't have access to a fwd car, consider winter snow and ice tires. It depends on the person, their needs, percieved risks, and what they can afford. For me Bridgestone Blizzaks were the way to go for my pickup.
