As of Wednesday, the head was in the final steps of the torquing process. I will check on it next week.

Paul, Are you using the ' 10 days' between torqueing steps instead of the ' 10 minutes' resting period ? That should be a really relaxed engine when you get it going....
LOL

Is this the Euro that has the head off? I must have missed the thread. What happened to it to need the head pulled?

I'm curious as I was fighting a randomly occuring cooling issue with that car with no luck whatsoever. It was part of what played into my decision to let the car go. Palangi knew about the issue when he bought it, and when he finally found a sticky injector, I had figured that it was the cause of the cooling problem.

I replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, flushed, washed, and totally replaced the coolant (all kinds of crap came out with this), pop tested the injectors, new belts, pressure tested cooling system, ran car with cap off to look for air bubbling in coolant, and put a new radiator cap on it, all to no avail. It had gotten to the point where 5th gear in that car was all but useless in highway driving.

She's back on the road as far as the head goes, but now the blower motor is on its last legs. I can't drive it on days when I might need to defog the windshield, which is most every day lately.

Excuses, excuses...toss some rags in the car and come on down.
