It's an hour away from me... If the interior weren't so trashed and I found used body parts that wouldn't have to be painted from the same color of car, then I'd buy it. But I think I'll just keep looking for that nice 111 sedan waiting for me.
Thanks
David

You know, I looked at it, and the fenders were left along. They aren't bad. With headlights, hood, and a radiator, this car would be good to go. It doesn't seem as if the deer went very far in. I already have sheepskins and I would DEFINTITELY replace the dash. Duct tape belongs under the hood where you can't see it on a Mercedes-Benz, it's not a Tempo.
Thanks
David

Smooooth yeah for some reson I can't get past the uploading part. I need to play with it again next week when I have time.

If someone had a W126 sitting around that was hit from the side or rear they could buy that one and be all set!

If you do get it I woud be very very interested in some parts on it. Ip and injectors for example, ac compressor, and a few other things.

ummmm, Hatteras, if I bought it, I was hoping you'd have some parts left over from that old 420 of yours? I would fix it. Personally, I think I can get it going for not too much, but we'll see. Maybe it will end up going for parts?
Today I was on ebay pricing things out, and I think I could get this to see things my way. I always liked the big 126's, but couldn't afford gas on a 560.
Thanks
David

Unfortunitly I don't have any parts you could use. I got rid of that car to fast I could have sent you a nice set of fenders and a hood.

Check to see if the oil cooler is ok that would be the only real big ticket item up front. Other than the radiator.

Know any rear ended W126's sitting around?

Hatteras, the fenders were left untouched...
It does need a hood, which I could get to my door for under $100, then another $100 to prep and paint that hood. I can get a new radiator for $200. My dad found some place that sells an aftermarket radiator for $200. I'll try to find an oil cooler used; if of course it's damaged. maybe the radiator can even be repaired? I know a guy locally who works for a radiator shop.
Thanks
David

Hey hatteras, what did you ever do with your stripped oil cooler? I think I have found a way to replace the fittings on them.
Thanks
David

Exclamation I looked at it

Hi all I stopped down Saturday and looked at this one. First, clear coat peeling every where, radiator trashed front pushed in further than it looks, barely started and ran really rough, frant seats trashed, some dents on either front fender sunroof not totally closed but did not look like it leaked, owner very reluctant to open the hood but I had already seen enough. I bounced it and it squeaked like bed springs, and the steering gear was very loose. Passengers rear taillight had a piece missing. Also, there is rust on both back quarters where they meet the bumper. Just thought I,d let you all know my observations. Hope it helps someone.

hmm that doesn't sound good at all. With that kind of mileage all of the suspension should have been replaced at least once. If not everything is probably getting real tired. I would also expect the trans to have been done at some point.

Want the fittings were shot on my cooler they were rusted apart. I was going to have new lines and end fittings put on the but then the old steel fittings took the threads off the coolar. So I ended up ordering new stuff. I needed the car to be back on the road fast.

I just looked at the pics again the cooler is fine I thought the drivers side fender was damaged for some reason.

Thanks

P.S.
