I'm having an extremely bad day

Was all excited to get some new injectors from TomJ(first contacted him about them on 11-18-04). Apparently he lost my emails and forgot that he and I had some correspondence on the subject, as a result of the mixup I now am out $200 (183 for the injectors=+15 for express mail and insurance, PayPal has been fraudulent in the past so I don't use it). I have tried emailing TomJ through this forum and through his business to no avail. I have been very polite, BTW. Now he tells everyone he's sold out. Great. Now I have to go and cancel the Postal Money Order I had overnighted to him and file a claim and wait 60 days to get my $200 back. Compound this with the fact that I can't track my shipment, the number is not recognized. Great, now it's lost.

Bought a set of w123 headlight bezels off eBay a week ago from Potomac German Auto in Frederick, MD. 'Pat' told me I should get them the next day, since I'm less than 100 miles away. Haven't gotten them yet. Emailed 'Pat' and he said he'd look into it ASAP. No word yet. More BS to deal with there.

Went to the bagel shop and got a couple of bagels. First, she didn't put cream cheese on them like I asked her to. Then, she overcharged me.

It has gotten to the point where I just can't win. I always make a point to be nice to people but I do believe today I'm gonna stomp somebody 'till their guts come out their ass.

I always use a credit card with Paypal........Paypal may be less than worthless when you get screwed, but your credit card company will bring out the heavy weapons in your defense.......I've had it happen twice......

As far as the rest.......I know what you mean.....crap comes in waves not little chunks.... soon it will pass.

If you haven't already stomped someone's guts out their ass, think about this. Your letter and bad luck has touched several of your friends on this forum and we can offer thoughts of understanding for your plight. Many of us have been in similar situations. At the same time, for those of us not having a great day also, reading your last sentence changed my day to a belly felt laugh. Re-read that sentence. It certainly changed my mood and I hope it does yours. Don't wait until tomorrow for it to be better. Think better now . . .

Hey man... I usually consider myself pretty internet/computer savvy, but how in the h*ck do I configure Paypal to use a credit card again? Ever since I linked it to my bank account, I can't figure out how to unlink it.

Yes always us a credit card with all purchases not locally. It helps you if a problem comes up.

Your having a bad day, step back take a deep breath and try to relaxe. Try to recognize those days that you just can't get things done.

Your alive, heathy and dirve a Mercedes. Is it really that bad

Every time you make a purchase you change funding sources to the credit card, its Default to direct transfer. You can't change it permanent.....you have to do it each time.....You will have an Echeck otion, direct transferr or credit card option, but you must click on the change funding source or something that sounds like that every time you processes a paypal payment.

What a major drag!
Credit card is the way to go these days.
Hope your day gets better, do something nice for yourself.
BTW, what is the deal with Paypal?
What should we watch out for?

Thumbs up PayPal

As with ALL internet transactions, use a credit card ONLY!!!! Not a debit card, most banks offer NO protection on those.

You said it. My Mom died last year around this time. She was only 62.

It's gray outside and I ain't got no hope of getting any new injectors no matter how bad I may need them, but I shall have to persevere and try to get happy. It's just a couple hundred bucks. I think about my Mom and these stupid little problems don't even register.
One of the many reasons I looked for a car like this is because Mom wanted one back in the day. It was her favorite. Of course I liked them too. I now realize that to have one you have to go through hell, basically. Don't know if it's all worth it. Got a trunk full of new parts that I am going to use for my rust-free 1985 300D and when they're all installed, I may then decide to give it the best lovin' wax job I can and then pass this nice car on to somebody who can deal with the frustration of owning it.

No wonder they're so cheap. They're cursed!

If he mails you the US postal Money order back to you...
then you can just go cash it... so you will only be out the .90 it cost to get it...
Only if he won't mail it will you have to wait ....
Either the person who bought it can cash it... or the other person listed on it..

Today is postponed due to lack of interest.
Today is rescheduled for tomorrow, unless yesterday lodges a protest again, then it will be sent to committee for resolution.
