A personal friend has decided to sell his '91 420SEL with 149,000 miles. The car is very nice! He says that the car has given him great service but has never been the most economical car when it comes to fuel mileage.

The car has been sitting for quite some time. The car is using some oil...about a quart every 2,000 miles. I know NOTHING about MB gassers. Come to think of it I don't know much about MB diesels either but I like to think I do.

He is willing to take less than $1,000 for the car. What should I do?
